Greedy sales reps nearly fed me to snakes.

I work as a pest control tech, and the way appointments work is that sales reps go door-to-door (you can tell that this story is starting GREAT) and chat up customers to sign a contract. The sales rep knew this and didn’t tell me. I did not have the right boots for this, and my manager begged me not to quit.
I simply serviced only half of the house and gtfo.
