Guilty about not helping pay for my supervisors birthday gifts?

Hello everybody This coming Friday is my managers birthday and my supervisor sent out an email saying that if anyone would like to contribute to buying him a gift for his birthday that they could give money to the supervisor. At the same time next week is my supervisors birthday and my other supervisor sent out an email saying that if anyone would like to contribute to her birthday gift they can give her money to give to the othe supervisor . my question is being that the supervisors and the manager don’t buy us gifts. Should I feel bad that I’m not contributing to any of this? Hello everybody

This coming Friday is my managers birthday and my supervisor sent out an email saying that if anyone would like to contribute to buying him a gift for his birthday that they could give money to the supervisor. Im the lowest paid employee in our branch of about 21 people, and obviously, they know who’s giving money to buy these gift being that management collects the money but it strikes me as odd that they don’t buy us anything for our birthdays. In fact, they make the last employer who had a birthday buy the person who’s birthday it is treats like cupcakes or cookies. so why is it on us to buy our managers gifts? Obviously the supervisor who’s collecting the money can see who’s contributing for the gifts for the managers and supervisors so I don’t wanna feel like they are looking down on me for not contributing if everyone else is, although I don’t know why they would. Management at my company are the nicest people ever but I just don’t feel like I should be placed in a position where I should have to pay for gifts for them when they don’t buy us anything or rather have us pay for things for other coworkers.

Should I feel bad for not helping pay for their gifts even though all my other coworkers may be. I’m not really tight for money right now but I just don’t feel like it’s right for me to have to pay for these gifts but at the same time I don’t want to be looked down on by the supervisors who know I’m not contributing.
