I work as a cook in a place for old people in france. Since 2 year, people who have left haven't been replace so we are almost understaf.
I have tried to tell them that they need to hire some people. During holiday or when people are missing we are running like hell to do a shity job.
My chef told me that they do not find any people but I know that they don't really look for it. They pay the minimum wage and a raise is out of question.
After 3 year of trying, my girlfriend is pregnant. In france having a baby gives you 1 month off which will put them in a impossible situation.
I haven't told them yet but it always put a smile on my face when I think about how I will tell them.
