I had an interview last week filled with wildly inappropriate questions but according to the EEOC not actually illegal since they hired me.
I was nervous about accepting the job and starting today since this guy was so weird in the interview and I don't want to be around him.
Today was my first day and I was doing training with the manager who interviewed me. I was riding with him in the work truck and the whole time I was bombarded with more uncomfortable questions.
He asked me how my relationship is, implied that my bf could be cheating. He asked me if I slept with my bf right away after I moved in with him which I didn't know how to respond so I stayed quiet and felt so awkward. I felt panicked and I wanted to quit right there but was stuck with him in the town over and had to finish my training for the day.
I know I shouldn't be talked to this way, it's not right and I dread going back but I have no other option as I really need this job. Fuck unprofessional managers that make employees feel like garbage and create uncomfortable work environments. Work already sucks without adding harassment on top of it.
