I was essentially chewed up and spit out by my last employer, having trouble finding work because my body has become so broken. I believe I was subjected to retaliation and discrimination for whistleblowing about the extremely poor and unsafe working conditions. Also contacted several local union organizations about getting help with improving work conditions…word about this may or may not have got back to mgmt.
I'm far from new to dealing with lawyers as well; not going to deal with some prick that knows a lawsuit will go nowhere and just bleeds me for cash. The only way I'd consider attempting a lawsuit is if I could find one of those “no fee unless we get you money” lawyers. The president of the company I was let go from also likes to just throw money at things to make them go away, so I'm willing to bet if a lawyer presented my case and found the settlement sweet spot, they'd settle out of court.
