My SO has been dealing with a relatively new manager and is a micromanager of hell.
SO has been with company for years having several managers and always positive performance reviews, no issues ever raised.
New manager is constantly pointing out subpar work performance, (SO says borderline bullying tactics) etc.
SO is a non confrontational person but is at the point will be filing a formal complaint to the manager's manager who was previously directly SO manager.
Anyone ever done this? I don't see much coming from it and could be risky but SO is planning to leave company in a few months anyway.
Apparently the top manager has received other complaints (maybe not to level of formal) about this micromanager and has been asking around.
I'm of the mindset companies protect low level managers before regular employees.
