Has anyone had different round interviews within company for determining “fit”?

I’ve applied to a senior role with a particular req number and have had 4 interviews with a new company than the one I am currently at. My 1st interview was with HR and 2nd interview was with a manager. The other position is a totally new role in the company. My 4th and final interview was with the director and VP, the director told me not to feel discouraged if I don’t hear back soon because there is a formality with HR. I logged in to my application and noticed I had a new job req under my candidate profile for the other position, which has not been posted yet on…

Is this a good, bad, or neutral sign?

Is it good if you have not been rejected yet, but recommended for another position that has not been posted publicly?
