Have you considered a skilled trade career?

College wasn’t for me. My stepdad was a skilled tradesman and helped to see that a trade was a good choice for me. I was trained on the job while making a good wage, I have good benefits and make enough for my wife to stay home with the kids. I have a great retirement plan and 15 years in I’m doing better than I thought I ever would. There are definitely some downsides. The hours suck and if it’s busy I can easily work 70 hours a week. Bad weather means a shit day but overall I’m happy. If you hate what you do or don’t see a future in it consider a trade or a skill (truck driver) you can easily make great money and have a solid future plus many trades are full of people nearing retirement which will drive up wages as the amount of of…
