Have you managed to improve your finances in the last couple of years, if so how did you do it, and by how much?

So we all tend to hate working for shitty companies, no fucking question, but generally speaking if we get a chance to improve our finances we take the opportunity. Hopefully we screw the bosses in the process. So here's my questions, have you managed to do it recently, how did you do it, and how much did your finances improve? If not, what's something that people here could potentially do to help you do so? My story is that last year I got a much better paying job, $11,300ish more, plus benefits in the form of health insurance that cost far less than the amount I had been paying for it, plus a much shorter daily commute. This was after struggling to stay afloat for more than a year and a half, and dealing financial stress that often made me break down and cry at the end of the day.
