Head Cashier Constantly Picks at me

Writing on mobile so sorry if the format is off. I, 21F, work part time in retail as a cashier until I finish college and get into a full time gig. I’ve been working at this store for maybe 6-7 months now so not for long. I usually only work weekends. I used to not work with this head cashier very often because of this but lately she’s been with me every Sunday shift for the past 2 or 3 months now. Every single shift she’s bothering only me, I’m thinking it might be because we’re around the same age? No other head cashiers, assistant managers, shift leads, supervisors or even the store manager make any complaints about me, in fact I was recently called into the office and awarded for my fast progress and my reviews from customers.

But for some reason this one women feels the need to raise her voice at me and give me an attitude every single shift, just this last shift I was alone at self checkout (there’s always supposed to be two cashiers there but we had a few callouts so there was no choice) and I was forced to turn on every single machine by my supervisor since the store was busy.

I was running around helping every customer who’s machine would turn red or who needed help with a barcode not scanning only for her to come and scream at me for there being a line….she then proceeded to blame me and say that it was my fault and that I was supposed to be ringing people on the register next to the self checkout as well as helping at the machines… it’s always things like this that she screams at me for, or even trying to accuse me of letting a customer steal when what happened was I rung a customer out and then they asked me to watch their basket while they went to the bathroom, which I did, once they came back they grabbed their cart and left. The cameras proved that I was telling the truth but she didn’t get into any trouble for her false accusation.

She’s constantly trying to yell at me, or just raise her voice and talk really fast at me with this horrible attitude. She rolls her eyes at me constantly and always tries to prove me wrong (like when I denied a customers return because it was against policy and she accepted it just to spite me, she got in trouble for that one later and apologized but then tried to lecture me on the policy right after…) I even noticed that she gets annoyed when my coworkers are nice to me or even speak to me for a few seconds but she runs around neglecting her own work and laughing with everyone, even as she’s being called over the speakers. I’ve been holding my tongue because I don’t want to argue or say something I might regret, but at this point I don’t know what to do, I’ve never been in this situation at any previous job. I don’t think I can really report it as she hasn’t directly said anything bad or horrible to me, but she’s really bringing down my morale and making me miserable at work when otherwise I don’t mind my job at all. I don’t want to quit or anything because the pay is really good here and I need the money to get through the rest of university, idk…what would any of you do in this situation? I’m getting really stressed over it.
