So, my sister had a massive heart attack and is out of work for a month minimum (Ontario, Canada). Good news is all medical is “free” but seriously it’s a big upside. Downside is her work has stopped paying her until she’s back. This lady… has rarely taken vacation time as well has worked on multiple weekends to help the company when they were short staffed because of COVID and they have acknowledged that she’s an important piece in the organization. However, an unfortunate situation happened and they won’t even pay her monies until she’s back working. So, my sis will be back working on Monday! wtf. Is this normal?
