I love my union, they do so many good things for us but this is a hard line for me. i flat out need more money but they will not budge or fight for salary increases beyond these 3% raises
our contract wasnt even up for renewal but they did emergency 2 year contract negotiations for an extra…. 3% raises for 2027 and 2028.
No matter what i say a strike just is never going to happen even tho 90% of my coworkers say they want to. leadership is just doing nothing here.
we need 15% today to catch up, and then 6%+or so pending what future inflation looks like. and nobody wants to do what they need to.
