I been on my job for 2 months. I already had a previous planned surgery and used all my sick days for the recovery.
I now have another upcoming surgery (which I haven't scheduled yet) but I need to. The recovery is 3 weeks of swelling. But I can get away with a week and a half to return to work.
How do I professionally say, “I need time off and I don't care if it's unpaid and I don't care if I don't have a job after. But I'm getting the surgery..”
I have a planned paid for cruise which I absolutely will not miss.. so my vacation days are done.
My boss already went out of her way to give me early sick days and make sure I didn't lose pay.
I'm already stressed because this is a risky surgery. It's not even expensive. I don't even have a question I guess. Just stressed about the surgery.
