so i had my gallbladder out on monday and i had to take a week off of work. the dr actually told me i would be good to go back after three days which is crazy. i guess cause i work from home at a desk she thought it was nothing or something but if id gone back on day three i don’t even know how that would have worked. i have the weekend left and go back on monday but with how i’m feeling there is no way i’m gonna be able to work on monday. i cant really do much but sleep let alone be nonstop on the ball for my production job next week.
problem is i haven’t been there for a year yet so i dont qualify for fmla and my vacation time is exhausted. i tried to get my disabilities on file for some protection before i left but they wouldn’t get me any kind of paperwork for even ada stuff so i’m getting kind of scared that if i ask for next week too i’m not gonna have a job anymore.
i’m scared to ask for a drs note cause drs always act like i’m just trying to not work when i’m struggling with things even though i’ve just been trying very hard to get my ducks in a row for three years while running uphill with all my medical stuff. and they literally said i’d be good after three days so don’t feel like they’re on my side.
already had to have a meeting with with hr before i was off for surgery about time ill need and then needing to evaluate if i’m a good match for the company so i’m pretty sure i’m fucked. i keep losing jobs due to medical crap that pops up out of nowhere and i was finally feeling like i was gonna be good for a while and then i needed to suddenly have my gallbladder out asap.
i’m freaking scared. anyone got any advice? i know i probably just have to suck it up and do what i have to and face any consequences. i’m just so tired of dealing with consequences of things beyond my control.
