I have been consistently applying for over a year. I did the math in the first month when I was really heavily applying, 1000 in a bit over a month, and found 75% or so never got any response, automated or otherwise. Now that I have interviewed for most of the actual jobs that have humans viewing the applications, or have figured out who is either constantly hiring or always has listings, most of the new jobs I see auto reply with a “thanks for a applying, no” at odd hours, middle of the night, weekend, within minutes of applying, or other things that tell me no one is looking at them and AI is sorting me out as unqualified despite over a decade of relevant experience.
How do I get my resume through these non human screening applications? I am not against creating a PDF with text the same size as the background to fill it with relevant text, or other unethical tactics. Never having humans look at your human resources is unethical, I don't care to go the high ground.
