How do we justify/tolerate the difference in work expectations for the varying tax brackets?

My point. If you make $22/hr (a fair, not particularly low salary) you're essentially expected to stay busy at work. “if you have time to lean you have time to clean” standard. Yet if you make 250k a year you can take elongated lunches, decide to take a day off without negative repercussions. Basically, the way I see it is; If you make enough to not be dependant on your employer, they understand you can leave if you aren't given the freedom and equality that IMO we're all entitled to. But if you're an average wagie, they know your bootstraps are a tied to like a noose around your neck….And we're all, or at least most of us, are just waiting, on the precipice of death, for some mild inconvenience to kick the proverbial chair out from under us.
