I'm in a situation where the interview has been going really great. 5 rounds, yeah, it 's that tough of a job market. However, I've done well in my interviews and I'm expecting an offer anytime soon. It keeps bugging me that I asked for $$$$ but after doing a quick Google search for that position for the company, it appears that I asked for 25% less. They did not mention the salary on their own careers page. The salary was mentioned on the third party platform. That's how I got to know the actual number. I did not ask the salary range in the interview which is obviously on me.
I deserve to get the right salary as advertised by them because I have more experience than they are asking for, plus I absolutely crushed my tech interviews. They also claim they are not location dependant when it comes to salaries.
How do I put the words together correctly so they are not taken back or reject me just for asking the right pay? I need this change to happen.
