I am asking in this thread because this chat is full of people that have experienced “work” as degrading, meaningless, and unfulfilling.
But at the end of the day we have to work so we can feed ourselves, how do you guys motivate yourselves to go to work? Is there a certain work style that helps you compartmentalize? I’m looking for answers beyond “it pays the bills” or “do what you love you never work a day in your life”
Every institution, non profit, agricultural, small business, healthcare, the list goes on I do not know how people come into work to be mistreated, underpaid, and barely make a difference on our patriarchal, capitalist society.
TLDR: How do you keep a job when you hate “working”?
