What strategies have you used to survive a stressful job that makes you miserable? For context, I’m a teacher in a very high needs/high behavior school and I’m under constant physical and mental stress. However, I have to finish out my contract until June and I absolutely need the insurance from this job so quitting is not an option (thanks America!). I plan on leaving education after this year, but doing so now is not a viable option. Since I must stick it out for 7.5 more months, I’m trying to develop strategies to still enjoy my life outside of work and not spend every moment thinking about how miserable my job makes me. Has anyone successfully implemented strategies to get through a job they hated? Any advice is welcome.
