I work in education, and I'm burned out. Taking into account when I started and cost of living increases, I should be making about $25k more than what I make now. My salary has seen paltry increases and even with additional courses I make well under what I would be compared to when I started in the early 2000s.
I've decided to put in a prorated effort. $100 back then is worth $154 now, but I'm barely making over what I started at. I'm at about 64% of what I should be, taking into account just cost of living increases. So out of a 40 hour workweek, I'm giving 64% of that. About 25 hours. I won't answer emails, schedule meetings, anything beyond that.
