How is finding a job in a third world country so much easier and faster in the US ?

This is my first time posting on this subreddit so pardon any mistakes or wrong information that i might have of the American work environment, and sorry if this post is a bit too long. With that out of the way, and just for a little bit of context, i'm a Moroccan Student who just graduated and got a degree in English linguistic from a somewhat prestigious but public (free) university here in Morocco. I did not by any mean graduate the top of my class but i got a passable grade. Throughout my three years here in uni i discovered this subreddit and though it might be useful to get an idea about the job market and tricks and tips to know that might help me when i'm looking for a job, even though Morocco and the US are very different countries some strategies my still help me here.…

Throughout my three years here in uni i discovered this subreddit and though it might be useful to get an idea about the job market and tricks and tips to know that might help me when i'm looking for a job, even though Morocco and the US are very different countries some strategies my still help me here.

And oh lord was i in for a shock. Because ever since i was little every one here talked about the US as being the land of opportunity, and that if you just make it there you'll become rich and have an easy life, but boy oh boy was i shown wrong through this sub. I found out that the US work environment is literal hell with people having to struggle with applying for dozens of jobs and going through interview after interview more often than not with megalomaniacs and unsympathetic HR people.

So i though that i would face a similar situation here, with me struggling for weeks or months to find a job, but lo and behold, after putting my CV in linkedin and applied for around 10 different jobs, some are call centers others have to do with paperwork in English and stuff like that, mind you that i do not have any experience in any job before, all i ever knew in my life to this point is studying and studying some more, after sending my applications i went to take a nap since if things are anything like job applications here in the US i thought that i would most likely be ghosted and no one would even consider me since i had no experience.

I kid you not, literally not even 5 minutes after that my phone started ringing, it was one of those call centers i had applied to, and they were interested in me and asked me when i can have an interview, i was a bit shocked since i never did an interview in my life so i said anytime next week (it was Friday), they said they would be available on Monday, i said good, i hang my phone, 15 min later i received an email from an other one of those call centers i applied to, and they told me that they want me to come to their call center “WHEN EVER I WAS AVALABLE” for an interview, at this point i was sitting in my room in disbelieve that not only one, but two jobs i applied to wanted an interview.

Not to bore you with every single detail, but by the end of the week , every single one of the jobs i applied to had called me for an interview, and to be honest i was scared shitless (mostly because of the horrible stuff i saw on this sub and because i had no idea what to do, as i said i never worked in an official job before let alone having 10 interviews) but i decided that i needed to man up and just do it, what's the worst that can happen.

Fast forward just to not make this too long, i went to every single interview and was accepted in every single one, i was in disbelieve, the interviews where more like nice chats than those horrifying experiences i saw on this sub, and every single one of the people i talked to was friendly, professional, and respectful, almost the exact opposite of the expectation i got from this sub.

And now to the crazy part, the pays were so good that i honestly still can't believe it, the least pay of all those 10 jobs i applied to was 4500 Moroccan dirham (+ health insurance+ bonus pays+ free transport for some of jobs that where a bit far), and just to get a sense of how much that is, as of today my family of 5 pays around 600 dh for the water, electricity, and internet bills, and around 2000 dh per month for food (stuff is getting expensive because of covid, gas prices and the war in Ukraine), so, with the least paying job i can literally pay all the essentials for my family leaving the entire pay of my parents to be saved.

But even with all those good opportunities, i asked my father for advice on what i should do, and what job i should choose, and his opinion really resonated with me and i think it's what i'll choose, he said that i should not sell my self short, with this degree that i got i can keep going in my studies and go for a masters degree and even a doctorate and look for way better jobs with the government, since here in Morocco working with the government is paramount to guaranteeing a pay for the rest of your life + free health insurance and retirement money, and so i chose to go for the yearly government run teachers exams, to work as a teacher, and continue to study for my masters and possibly doctorate and practically guarantee jobs that start at the minimum from 15000 dh with is a crazy amount of money, so much money in fact that you can literally save to buy a descent house in less that two years.

So that is pretty much it, sorry that this turned out to be a whole essay, i tried to make it as short as i could, and i'll be interested in hearing your opinions on my story and if you have any advise for me.
