I'm so fucking tired. I recently graduated college and I'm making $13/hr in food service because that's quite literally the only job I can find. My half of the rent (for a one bed) is over $900, I'm barely making it. I work exactly 40 hours each week but sometimes I open, sometimes I close, sometimes I clopen. I don't get breaks even during a 9/10 hour shift because there's usually 1-3 people working and I'm the one in charge. Maybe a 15 that's closer to a 5, if I'm lucky. I've had two consecutive days off ONCE since I started this job in July. management is awful and I am doing the work of 2-3 people most days. yes I know the simple answer is to find a different job, IVE TRIED! everything out there seems the same or worse, the break laws here are nonexistent too. I'm so fucking tired. I don't have time for anything, when I'm home I just want to lie down. even when the management wasn't awful I was still exhausted every second out of work. By the time I feel a little bit recovered I have to go back to work. surely there's more to life than this? is it even possible to make time for myself?
