Been working a full time job for about a year following graduation, absolutely hate it and would rather die than keep doing this for the next 40 years. The hours are crazy and only get worse, and the job puts so much on its workers without adequate compensation. They’re asking us to give our entire life, both during and outside of working hours, for a wage that I won’t even be able to get a mortgage on.
Idk what to do. If I really have no choice but to voluntarily enslave myself to a corporation for the rest of my life just to earn the right to keep living, then death sounds like a preferable alternative to be honest.
Am I really stuck like this? Tens of thousands of dollars in student loans, plus the extremely high cost of living means if I literally can’t afford to quit – at this point it seems like capitalism is pushing me towards suicide
