A colleague of mine has finally been busted for bullying junior members of staff. It was a classic case of him being all sweetness to the senior team and making those of us below him live in hell. He finally took it far enough that he has been given a strict warning, but he's already leaving the company in a couple of weeks and going to work elsewhere.
It makes me angry that he will get away with this and probably continue at the next place. I don't know if my company would be honest if he asked for a reference, but he got the new job before he was caught for bullying.
Those of you who have to work with horrible people – how do you make peace with it and prevent it from ruining your whole mood every day? I know I'm gonna be working with assholes the rest of my life because they're everywhere and I need to find a way to cope.
