how to respond to “we can give you more to do” when managers made my shift unnecessarily scheduled compared to before?

ive worked at this place for a while, and recently there was a schedule change where everyone was given less hours and some were shifted to different times through the day. i went from 34-42 down to 28-32 becasue they bumped up our pay. with this change, they moved me half an hour later than most others, though i dont need it becasue i am already used to how the shift goes to finish on time with everyone else. ive brought this up a few times, even showing that ive finished and have been cleared to leave early by multiple managers since the change, almost never needing that extra time, but that results in me losing up to 2 hours every week. im able to do my job that way becasue i was hired before the change. i wont waste time and extend myself longer than i need to just…

ive brought this up a few times, even showing that ive finished and have been cleared to leave early by multiple managers since the change, almost never needing that extra time, but that results in me losing up to 2 hours every week. im able to do my job that way becasue i was hired before the change. i wont waste time and extend myself longer than i need to just for that hourly pay, its pitiful just to slow down my work in response to an obviously hostile change. im simply capable of doing it in that amount of time, and i would have to consciously waste more time just to fit their new schedule. i have a home and hobbies to get back to anyways.
of course though, they say that they can surely give me more to do, and i bit my tongue when it came to the fact that this only happened becasue we were bumped up in pay in a ploy to not pay us any more but do the same amount of work in less time, but it is extremely unsatisfying to me and even disrespectful that doing my job well enough to finish early, which used to be on time, to be told that i can be rewarded with more work to do for the last 30 minutes of my shift that they added arbitrarily.
id like to think the managers arent the most soulless around, but i absolutely dont trust them within 5 feet of my own soul. what on earth do i say to this canned response? if nothing else, i hope my difficulty here can be another unique perspective to add to the pile labeled “horrors of capitalism.”
