Hybrid Job Frustrstion

So I work hybrid, we get two WFH days a week, which is nice. I can honestly say I don’t mind going into the office, where we all get along super well and camaraderie is great. Everybody is pretty cool there. BUT GOOD GOD. I can get through my actual work in maybe 3 hours at home. Do client outreach, respond to emails, enter some data, bam I’m done for the day. BUT GOOD GOD. I can get through my actual work in maybe 3 hours at home. Do client outreach, respond to emails, enter some data, bam I’m done for the day. Everybody at work has the same gripe, and agree that 32-hour, 4-day week would make us vastly more productive while working and give back our mental peace.

But at the office you just SIT there making up things to do when you could easily call it a day. Granted, it’s guest service so I get that we need to be available to the service hours but still. Absolutely no need for us to be doing 40 HOURS of this shit. Jokes on them, I can’t say I mind getting paid to read this sub and do laundry.

Why does it have to be this way though? I don’t even think it’s some conspiracy about “my overlords want to squeeze every once of work out of my life” I think that’s too deep, upper management is decent but I think they’re literally just stuck in the past with blinders on.
