My job is having an “outing” next month. A few coworkers and I aren't interested for many varied reasons and would rather just work than go. However today I was told it's mandatory to go. No debates. Can my job force me to do something that isn't explicitly in my role with the company? I'd rather take an unpaid day than go at this point.
