Hello everyone,
I have a terrible infection, my jaw and face are swollen, I have been told I have a tooth abscess and they put me on strong antibiotics and hydrocodone for the pain. I let my supervisor know that I won't be able to drive to the office with hydrocodone (I drive an hour to the office). He stated on Thursday that we are no longer authorized to work from home. I was thinking I could take care of the tickets from home and take care of some of the tasks I need to do (they are all doable from home, I work as systems analyst, and I don't have to be physically present to complete my job duties).
I am still in pain, suffering at home waiting for my appointment date. Is there anything I can do to ask for accommodation to work from home because of the medications I am on? He made us stop working from home to make us drive to work. I am tired of nobody showing compassion. Is there anything I can do about it legally? Am I somehow protected from this bs?
I can just use PTO and get over it but the problem is we could work from home until I started calling out because of my toothache and he said I am not allowed to work from home and then he completely stopped our work-from-home days because tasks are not getting done. Logically flawed… If you want tasks done and if I can't come to the office then why don't you let me complete the tasks from home?
