I've been in the field for almost 2 years and I have so far worked at 2 companies.
The first one was a small mom and pop company that had 4 employees. The boss there refused to give me some certifications after i earned them he also dropped my hours randomly when work dried up. I left and found work at my current employer.
The current employer, we'll call 'Predator Companies, LLC' has been over working me to the bone. At the smaller company, if i finished work early, i got to keep the remaining hours for it. At this company, my hard work is rewarded with more work. I absolutely hate waking up every morning.
I've noticed that im always surrounded by older people in the industry that just have been so mistreated for so long that this is just how they work.
If anyone here has any recommendations for Environmental Consulting companies in the Portland, Oregon area, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Efforts should be rewarded. Plain and simple.
