I have been with this company 14 years. I have done everything they have asked. In year 5 of supporting our business software they asked if I would be interested into moving into full time training to train clients. They gave the job to a manager that wanted out of sales.
At this time I had 5 pto days 5. 5 years go buy I ask to move to sales for opportunity for more money and just a health change for me. At 10 years I finally got 15 pto days woot woot awesome. At this time 4 of the bosses kids started working here. And anyone with 1 year automatically gets 15 pto days. I went 10 fucking years.
For the last 4 years I have been top sales. Go to every trade show they ask. I asked for a raise because if I was an outside reseller I'd be making over 100k a year with my sales totals. But we get a base pay and shit commission. I make maybe 55k a year. 3 Manger positions opened up. I was not offered the opertu ity to interview. They gave 1 position to a guy that deserves it. But they folded the other 2 into one position for someone else.
I'm not sure what to do. I have 0 experience in anything else. I bust my ass to hit my quotas but am treated like garbage. The worse part is my boss is the wife of the cfo. She makes 6 figures. Her hours 8 to 11 am. Because she has kids. Her job, is to make sure we make over 80 calls a day which the computer sends auto reports. And to make sure we don't go over pto and punch in and out. That's it. I brought this up the the ceo who says I'm like a son. He told me that if I don't like it to leave he treats us super well. Since I have moved to sales I have made the company over 2 million dollars myself. I have made less then 200k. I fucking hate everything and feel undervalued.
