Where I work, the pressure for delivery quantity and quality is only increasing since last year.
I raised concerns about life and work balance with the RH due to my team colleagues been working extra hours everyday and often working at weekends. There are no physical boundaries, since we all work remotely.
The RH took a couple of days to give me an answer, until they finally came back to me and said there are no clauses in the employment contract saying a collaborator can't work extra hours if they want to. Therefore, they wouldn't do anything about it.
What is your opinion about this? Am I been too naive to think there is something wrong when most of my colleagues works 2 to 3 additional hours a day?
In addition, it's clear the management compares team members with each other when evaluating them on reviews. It's the same as saying, in general, who works only on hours defined on contract will always score less.
