I deleted all my language skills from LinkedIn! Avoiding exploitation?

May some other bilingual people who are bilingual by formal education can relate. I have never been compensated for being bilingual. I’ve always made the same amount of money as someone that I’m helping to complete their job tasks by translating for them. Because of this I’ve decide to not promote that skill set; neither on my resume or social media. People always talk about how being bilingual is advantageous for your career but I’ve only found it to be another avenue of being exploited for your talent. So from now on I won’t mention my language skills unless an employer explicitly expressed (preferably in writing) that I will be compensated for it. My education wasn’t for free so my skill sets that I gained from that education cannot be offered for free. Plain and simple.
