Can anyone else relate? I wanted to get experience in retail with Sundays off, however they are very strict bc of that. Hobby lobby says they are this “Christian” company but they wouldn’t even let me go to my orthodox vespers service or catechism class when we had a bunch of cashiers. My college grades have been dipping bc of how much strain they put on me and how much freedom they give me. And the fact on how much people will treat u like crap (funny now I put my 2 weeks notice in everyone’s nice too me). Another annoying thing is they still don’t have scanners so if the tag falls off they have to take 5-10 minutes to look for one which defeats the purpose of being fast on register . When I need help with something even if it’s a price tag or just more change in a register and even if my break is coming up they treat me like garbage and the csm is still nice to everyone else. It took me forever to even schedule an interview for another job bc of how hard it is to take a day off without them treating me like trash and wanting to give a in depth reasoning for why I want a day off. which they still didn’t give and I had to do a job interview on my day I use for studying.
If your a person who likes hobby lobby that’s cool and I have no idea how you do it but you must have crazy life dedication I applaud you and hope the best. This isn’t targeting the people who like it there but it’s just my experience.
