I work in a job where I see drivers a lot. I am female and they are male. I know they are just being friendly and mean no harm but they’ll say “smile” followed by a higher “smileeeee”
I do smile, but I’m not there to smile.
What bothers me most is how some of them will pat me on the back, rub my arm or touch it when I give them their work.
They don’t mean it to hurt me, just to be a typical working in that environment thing.
I work in an office FYI.
I’ve told someone else before and he didn’t do it again. He wasn’t offended, just understood that I didn’t like it.
It makes me nervous and on guard when these specific people are nearby.
EDIT; I just generally don’t like being touched. Not just at work.
