So. My paycheck was wrong several times last year and I’ve worked for the same person for almost 3 years.
I noticed a few times that it seemed my pay was off and mentioned it but didn’t break it down on my own until he wasn’t taking my complaint or questions seriously.
Finally, he told me I had to start calculating it on my own and kept asking for inconsistently like sometimes it was Friday, other times Sunday or Monday morning. I told him I’m not in payroll or his accountant, but in a nice way. I ended up complying though because, well, I wanted paid.
I feel like this is something that I shouldn’t have to do and that I’ve been bilked out of money until I was strong armed into doing his accountant’s job. Any advice is welcome. I work in a very small place (4 employees) in the medical field.
