I finally have a job offer!

I have just finished a one-hour interview with a small family-owned business. I secured this job through a staffing agency that informed me it would be a temporary-to-permanent position. During the interview, I asked the boss about the expected timeline for making the position permanent. She expressed that she is seeking a permanent employee and asked me how long I thought it would take for me to fully join the team. I suggested 3-4 months. However, upon reflection, I wonder if there is a way for me to request to be hired directly, rather than waiting for the 3-month period to pass before fully joining the team.
