Vice President of Talent Aquisitions at Abarca called me because I turned down a job offer just to say how good they pay and that they pay the best they can and they never fight for potential employees wages because they believe they always pay the best at the moment (3k more than my current job btw nothing wow). The probatory period was non negotiable (1 year) because according to law it is never negotiable, so she called just to talk shit on why I shouldn't have declined which is weird.
Now the racist remarks were at the end where she said: “We always pay a good salary to live, im not sure how you can live there with how big the wage difference is vs what we pay and how expensive it is there”
So I live in Puerto Rico and many companies here pay a good salary, she was just implying we live on crack pretty much and how thirld world we are. She doesn't know how much I get payed (not much different from their offer) and she assumed I had more offers in the table and really was just a bitch of a person. Fun fact, I tried reporting it to the HR team and guess what? my calls and message are ignored, super shitty company when the literal VP calls a regular person just to talk shit about my decision and how they are the best bla bla bla. Oh 1 last thing, the probatory is negotiable in Puerto Rico AND before I declined the offer they came back with 3 different counteroffers!!! This just shows how out of touch she was.
