I saw it coming. I kept being late and calling in.
I the end, I was utterly depressed in my job. In the beginning, I was committed. I had a fire in my heart that could not be quenched. I felt like I would conquer anything and everything in my path. I believed in myself, my ability, and my mental fortitude. I looked at myself in the mirror and envisioned success and I brought it.
I wanted to climb the ladder. It was looking good in the first two years. I was getting good marks.
Down the road, 5 of my relatives who were extremely dear to me left this life. It destroyed a pillar I had built inside of myself that kept me up.
I got a promotion to a role I thought would be great, but it turned out to be cold calling. Every damn day cold calling saying the same opening phrase, 60 – 80 times a day. I became so depressed, but the benefits kept me in the role.
I am halfway not doing great, halfway looking forward. I feel like maybe it was the best thing for me. I would appreciate any stories similar that had a good outcome. I am very depressed and stressed financially. Thank you so much.
