I had been at my previous job for over a year and finally resigned for a better opportunity at a certain cookie place known for chocolate chip cookies & the color pink. I read the reviews and they were mostly positive, and some claims about some franchise owners being horrible managers. None of these were about the store I would be hired at, or the franchise owners I would have. I got hired as the assistant manager. They left me dangling for weeks trying to figure out an opening date/start date/and training date. We finally set one. When i went to sign paperwork, all the paperwork was for the state i would be training in, not the store I was hired to be at. I go to train, and they have me two hours away staying in a hotel room with a girl i have never met. I work, i think things are going decently well, i’m learning the procedures…. i went home for my three days off for labor day weekend. I’m not even home from my two hour drive and I get a call from my manager telling me not to come to train next week. Turns out I am “not enthusiastic” and they will not be continuing my employment…. I was there for three days, worked with this lady for two… and now i’m fired? Needless to say i am devastated. Then she had the audacity to offer me position that pays four dollars less than what i was hired for. When i asked the lady to elaborate… i was told that she refuses to have this conversation with me as it is her day off.
