Let's just say this fast food chain is amongst one of the most popular of it's type and is known for it's “golden arches”. I started mid July, first job btw, and about maybe 6ish weeks ago I found my wallet had just vanished one day after getting off work. The only place my purse ever stayed was the break room which has a camera. Only time it came out was during my lunch break, but I got a free lunch so I didn't bother looking for my wallet I just wanted my headphones. I absolutely hated the way the situation was handled. Only person allowed to look at the tape was the general manager. No other managers and definitely not myself. And she made a very clear point of how she had to sit through the full 8 hours of footage and could not speed through it. After a few days I was told nothing was seen. I know for a fact it was definitely stolen tho bc someone flagged my bank account by trying to get in using my member #, which I had stuck in my wallet.
It sucks bc I actually really enjoy working here. I love my customers and coworkers but because of this situation I've been wanting to leave but the very few places nearby that are hiring are only part time, and it's gonna get harder bc places are gonna start hiring temporary positions only for the holidays. I was actually fairly lucky to land this job being full time and within the first few days of job hunting at the time. I'm also worried that leaving after a few months won't look good for me.
