I've been out of work for years and am just finally able to get out there. Looking for a job is seriously a damn job in itself! We have to navigate scams and resume rewrites and cover letters etc. But the worst is the carrot on the stick pay rates. I saw this job insurance marketing representative 67-100k! I have 7 years of insurance experience and I know this company loves my former company! It was perfect! I never made over 40k so hell ya I'll apply! Next day ad was edited 38-58k well not as good but I'll still hope for a nice mid range I guess. I get a call from the hiring department shortly afterward. “pay is 40-45k blah blah blah market conditions..”! Here's a great idea: how about if you know that is the actual range then put it in your fucking ad! I'm so damn exhausted
