Get on a call for a relationship management role for small businesses. My experience is completely in real estate and it spells it out pretty clearly on my resume.
Recruiter is like “so you didn’t work with small businesses originating loans?” I’m like “nope. I originated residential and commercial loans.”
And that’s pretty much where the call stopped. I met all the criteria on the job posting but because my experience isn’t in small business lending I’m not “eligible” for the role. It’s like nobody wants to give anyone a chance anymore. It’s demoralizing.
