I don't know where to start, the job is fine, it's close to my house in walking distance, the pay is decent, I get freedom and flexibility to do my job how I want to. (Sometimes). The co workers are all shit but It's fine, I can ignore them enough throughout the shift but my biggest gripe is my boss.
She only sees things in her perspective and never EVER in my eyes or anyone else's. Everything must absolutely be 100%, even the tiniest miniscule detail that the average person won't even see. And everything has to be done her way, even if the project can be done in 12 other more efficient ways, nope she won't accept that. It HAS TO BE her way and only her way. Which means I tend to mess up sometimes.
She's also an extreme workaholic and she thinks everyone else should be like her. The job is a standard 9-5 but when we go home at 5pm she gets angsty about it? She stays in the office until 7pm purposely but is shocked when we go home at 5 exactly. I swear once we had such a large marketing campaign that I went home at 4Am. At 4 in the fucking morning I went home and actually slept. Whilst everyone else already went home at 5. I didn't get a overtime bonus or anything.
And she has a weird double standard. Some days she's “don't show me just tell me” and some days she's “don't tell me, just show me”.
There's absolutely NO PLEASING This person regardless of what I do and it's stressing me out so much but I also can't quit because my father found me this job and I'd disappoint him if I quit. He wouldn't understand if I told him my issues, my parents are old school they don't believe in mental health.
