I have an hour of “me” time (silence) around family as soon as I get home

I have a really physical job, 40-45 hours per week. As soon as I get home I’m super tired. I used to get hounded as soon as I walked in the door, before I could even put my stuff down! Over various things that went on when I was gone. Basically, I told my family that I need an hour as soon as I get home. It’s kind of funny, but now as soon as I get home, they don’t say anything other than extreme small talk. I just sit on the couch getting caught up on everything I missed with my phone, eating dinner, watching a show even. Just for an hour. Then when it’s up everyone talks to me about what’s currently going on, as if I just walked in. This hour has been a huge help, even if it is just an hour. I’m close to them,…

I’m close to them, but just getting home I need just a little bit of time to reset
