Currently have a fixed-term contract working in a gouvernement agency in a european country where i have had that position for 8 months, applied for a permanent position for the same role.
A week later, i have been dragged in by HR and the boss to have an interview even though i have only been informed about it 5 minutes prior.
Made the interview, have been waiting for 2 months without an update or a reply to my mails from either my boss or HR while they replied to other candidates.
Got a skype call from one of the bosses who was working home that day, only to be informed that i didn’t get the job because the competition was tough and that they selected 3 candidates instead of the 2 in the job application.
Bear in mind that two of the 3 candidates are external ones meaning that they have never worked in this field in their life while i have been doing it for little over 2 years in various senior positions plus that i have been working my ass off and staying late everyday.
Crying myself to sleep everyday ever since because i feel like a naive idiot.
