Hi all, I work for a very toxic company where everyone hates each other, there’s lots of yelling and screaming. We get lots of calls requesting money from companies that my job hasn’t paid yet.
Anyways, they have been floundering lately and sometimes we can’t cash our paychecks for 2-3 weeks. They get paid through insurance companies and that takes forever for the money to come in, aside from the owner screwing everything up and also stealing the money as well.
My last check bounced and by Friday I’ll have 3 paychecks, plus the bounced one so I will officially not been paid for a month!
I’m just not sure what to do, thankfully I just reached my one year mark so I can say I was there a year. I’m trying to get into freelancing graphic design and social media management, but also really need money while I work on that and they only give a half hour break so it’s hard to talk to interviewers on the phone since I have no time.
At this rate I’m wondering if I should ask to be part time so I’ll have time to talk to companies.
