I just got fired with no warning

I worked as a janitor at a rec center near my house. I’ve been there for almost 4 months. It’s been a nice easy job. I work 4 hours but get everything I need to get done in 1.5-2. I’ve had several of the front desk people thank me for my attention to detail and that me being there is a huge help. I would leave about 15 after my boss got there so I would go talk to him about how the day went, current situation like if there was a party or something, and ask him if there is anything I need to work on or am missing. I’ve had several of the front desk people thank me for my attention to detail and that me being there is a huge help. I would leave about 15 after my boss got there so I would go talk to him about how the day went, current situation like if there was a party or something, and ask him if there is anything I need to work on or am missing. Every time he said no. The outdoor pool closed so my morning shift was no longer available and I had to work the evening shift instead. I’ve been working it for one day a week already so I knew what I was doing and again asked if it was up to standard and was told yes. I just got an email saying that because of some complaints I don’t need to come in anymore. It’s like what? If there were complaints just tell me and I would have corrected them. It’s annoying because I liked my job, the commute was like 10 minutes, it was independent and I didn’t have to deal with anyone annoying. Plus I’m in college and they knew that. It just feels unprofessional to tell me I’m doing a great job and fire me with no notice or chance to improve.
