I just got reprimanded for using too many “!” in my emails. I was told I come off demanding.

One of my co-workers complained that I come off demanding and bossy because I use too many explanation points in my emails. I’m friendly and excited, not demanding. What a petty complaint and I’m ready to call it off with this place.
