I just want to rant about my colleagues and workplace

So, I’ve been working at my job for 2.5 years now. I work in a team of 3. In that team I was the last person to be added. We manage 2 inboxes. One inbox I basically manage on my own, our manager trained us and then left after a month. The other two manage the other inbox. The manager said when it’s busy on the inbox that I manage the other two shud help out. That never happened. Basically, those two can’t manage the one inbox so I have to help out. Well it started with me helping out but then I somehow ended up being the one who knows the most about managing that inbox. I’m the one the implements the changes. They ask me questions for anything difficult. All the while I’m the only one managing my other inbox. The new manager doesn’t know how to manage…

The new manager doesn’t know how to manage either inbox’s.

One colleague comes in late everyday and gets away with it. Will sit with his headphones on and not do any work, when he does do work his attention to detail is so poor, he does a lot of things wrong. If anything new is implemented he always gets it wrong.

He has had covid apparently 5 times, taking 3/4 weeks off and when he comes back his like I never got tested and he got away with it.

When the other colleague is on holiday, I noticed he pretends to be sick. So a lot of times, I’m alone managing everything.

He took off 2 months pretending to be sick and was caught by someone and he was fine.

The other colleague we get on well but they get to work from home for weeks whilst I’m in the office dealing with all the crap.

I used to tell them everytime we had a meeting, to remind them. I have stopped that now. They ask me for questions on little things about the job, they never think about solving the problem themselves. I have to deal with a complicated queries. It’s always me supporting them, me solving issues. It’s never the other way around.

There are other softwares we have to maintain. I was trained once and I’ve been managing that for 2 years. I have trained the colleague 5 times. Every time they log in to attempt to do it. They ask a million questions and they act like they don’t know anything. The one time I told them to do it without me cos it’s really busy n I have no support, they got any attitude with me and started calling me selfish.

They also talk a lot, so I’ve had to tell them multiple times. That I need to concentrate, sometimes I just give up on doing the complicated stuff because they drain me. One time I timed how often they spoke and they wud say something 3 times in a minute.

We have lunch together, so I can’t even have that hour to myself. If I try to have lunch alone they get into a mood.

They do the easy work, they get special treatment cos they have children, they talk to much. If I leave them to deal with anything that needs some thought. They always mess it up and I have to end up fixing.

When it’s really busy on my inbox, I have to do overtime. There were times when I did overtime 2 weekends in a row. Working after getting home. If I don’t do the work, on weekends it doesn’t get done and then I get all the blame. Cos the others don’t look at that inbox. If I take a weekend off n relax during the busy time, it will pile up and I end up getting stressed out.

The longer this goes on the more drained I feel. Manager knows all this, getting paid for overtime doesn’t help.

I have given myself a year to decide if I want to find a new job or not. The money is okay, there is no prospects of career progression but even though I’ve mentioned all this, I do get on with my colleagues and commuting time is short.
