excuse me if this is a dumb question as im not super educated on exceptions to state minimum wage requirements, but many of the jobs i could qualify for i’ve seen recently are paying under minimum wage. the minimum wage in my area is 13.20 per hour and the jobs i’ve seen are paying 12.50 per hour. is this legal? do they have some sort of exception? the two i saw today were a serving job and a retail job.
